I don't really believe in reincarnation, but I do love how people who claim to have this funny tendency to claim they were Charlemagne or Cleopatra. If I did believe in past lives, I'd say most people who be reincarnations of people who were pretty damn average.

That being said, if I did believe in past lives, I would imagine I would have been a starving artist at some point.

What three words describe you well?
Quirky, morbid... poetic?

2. What level do you play on Guitar Hero?
I don't have the time, ability, or willpower to play that game.

3. Is that your favorite video game?
It's a close call between Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, with Psychonauts thrown into the mix, too.

4. Who was the last person to text you?
Chris, but now my phone is lame about picking up texts.

5. What about call you?
Chris, again.

6. What's your myspace url?
I don't have one.

7. What's the name of your boyfriend, or crush?
Chris. <3

8. Do you watch Scrubs?
No, but it looks kind of funny.

9. Don't you just adore Zach Braff?
I don't know who he is, but even if I did, there's an 85% chance I don't.

10. If you live in the U.S., what state are you from?
Missouri, which really isn't as bad as some people make it out to be.

11. What's your favorite season?
Either fall or winter. I'm more of an indoorsy, so it doesn't matter much that the weather tends to suck. Besides, I like fall/winter clothing, food, holidays, and activities much more than those of spring and summer.

12. What kind of cell phone do you have?
Blue Motorola Razr. T_T I'm a clone.

13. Any siblings?
One brother.

14. If so, what's their name?
Douchebaggy McShitpants.

Err... Adam.

15. Do you know anyone with their bridge pierced?
Nope. None of my friends have any piercings that aren't ears, nose, or bellybutton.

16. What was the last thing you put in your mouth?
A cracker.

17. What's your favorite color?
Will it sound terrible if I say grey?

18. Is your shirt that color?
No, it's a red wifebeater.

19. What's the worst possible name someone could name their child?
lol, Renesmee.

20. If your mom read your answers to surveys, what would she say?
She probably wouldn't have much of a comment.

21. Do you know anyone with the same birthday as you?
Don't think so?

22. Have you read any books by Chuck Palahniuk?
I was going to read Fight Club at one point, but I was told by a reputable source (Chris) it was basically a bunch of pseudo-intellectual BS, so I decided not to.

23. Did you enjoy them?
N/A.

24. You've read The Perks Of Being A Wallflower though, correct?
I read some of it. It was okay, but nothing special.

25. Are you a vegetarian?
No, I like meat too much for that. Mostly fish and poultry, but still.

26. What about straightedge?
I guess, sort of? I don't do drugs, I don't drink, and I don't have sex (nor do I plan on it until I'm married.)

27. If you could move anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Dunno. I really liked Connecticut when I went to visit my Great Uncle, but I honestly do like Missouri. I haven't been anywhere outside of the US (yet), so I can't say where I'd want to live outside of the States.

28. Is you middle name Ann or Marie?
No, it's Nicole. Which is almost as bad.

29. Are you listening to music right now?
I'm almost always listening to music, so yes.

30. If you are, name a quote from the song you're listening to.
"I embrace this mutation / Now I feel, laughing within me."

31. What's the last magazine you read?
If it wasn't Game Informer, it was probably Cosmo for the lulz.

32. What about the last thing you watched on TV?
Bit of inauguration coverage.

33. What's the name of your best friend(s)?
Probably Chris and Abby, if we're going for a "hang out all the time bffl" sort of thing.

34. Do you use Burt's Bees chapstick? Isn't it fantastic?
Yes I do. Yes it is.

35. What's your favorite movie?
Edward Scissorhands! Always and forever, though Brotherhood of the Wolf and the original 1930s Dracula come really close.

36. When you think last summer, who comes to mind first?
... Chris?

37. Did you do anything rad last weekend?
I watched some Metalocalypse with Chris. It was totally brutal.

38. Will you this coming weekend?
I plan on doing something at least mildly awesome every weekend of my life, so yes.

39. Do you smoke?
No.

40. Or drink?
Aside from teeny sips of wine whenever my mom is having a glass, no.

41. What color eyes does the last person you kissed have?
Deep (almost reddish) brown.

42. In your iTunes library, what song is most played?
"Like Statues in the Garden of Dreaming" - Arcana

43. Are you addicted to anything?
The closest thing I have to an addiction would be my sheer love of hot teas.

44. When was the last time you cleaned your room?
Before Christmas? It hasn't gotten too messy since then, though.

45. Have you ever gone skinny dipping?
NO. I'm still ticked about it. I have my own pool now, dangit.

46. What about snowboarding?
No, and I'm honestly kind of scared to try it.

47. Do you make wishes at 11:11?
No, but I do make wishes on eyelashes.

48. How many guys have you kissed?
I've jokingly ninja-kissed probably seven or eight guys on the cheek. Consensually, on the lips, two. With any degree of enjoyment, only one.

49. Did you regret kissing any of them afterwards?
I kind of regret kissing my first boyfriend. I kind of wasted my first kiss. Chris would have deserved it much more.

50. Now that this survey's over, are you going to do another?
No. I need to sleep.

About politics, which I normally don't do, but since I did end up watching a little of the inauguration coverage I kind of got thinking about politics and I realized why I hate them so much. It's totally because of the party system. I hate it because it makes it that much easier for people to go vote without taking the time to actually do research on the party platform ("I've always voted Democratic/Republican/Green/Bull Moose Party, so I might as well just vote for them again without bothering to inform myself!") and that's just a mark of laziness and utter stupidity. I also hate that it basically just sticks you with only two options (hate to say it, but voting third party is basically throwing a vote away), and those two options are often stuck with their party's agenda instead of what would really be good for the people, and those two options never seem to leave enough middle ground.

This is a really big problem for people like me who, even though I am not old enough to vote yet, are all over the place on the political spectrum, varying issue to issue. For example, I'm liberal when it comes to gay marriage. They ought to have the same marriage rights as heterosexual couples, imo. I don't care what genders the people in a couple are as long as they are faithful and truly love each other. It's really just ignorant to deny them something as simple as a legal state wedding (Church/religious weddings are where it gets a little tricky, so I won't even go there. I guess it should be up to the individual church/place of worship to decide.) On the other hand, I'm totally conservative when it comes to things like gun control laws. I know people make the argument that selling more guns would cause more crime, but if you were an armed robber, let's say, and you knew there was a good chance that the guy you were about to rob could be packing, you'd probably think twice about it.

Those are just a couple examples, but I know my friends are more than intelligent enough to get the picture. =)

tl;dr version: Partisan politics blows.

Which is really a funny thing, considering how much I hate politics.

I mostly just like using them as an excuse for playing hooky. Don't tell my teachers. xD "LOL, no, I wasn't skipping, I stayed home to watch the inauguration!" I know it's probably a horrible thing to do, especially since I really couldn't care less about listening to another political speech. (Got enough of those in government last semester.) I mean, maybe I'll flip on the TV for a few minutes and watch the speech, but I'm fairly certain that it will just be a clever re-hash of things Mr. Obama has already said in speeches I've already heard.

I guess this makes me a naughty, naughty non-political person.

But it also gets me out of Alg.
